The distance between a spiraling football and a wobbling football
Chris Zeeck 11\ 7 \13 6th period
2
The Scientific Question
My scientific question is how far a football goes in distance. How far it goes wobbling. How far it goes when it is spiraling.
3
My Background The reason why i chose this topic is because i like to play football. Football is the most coolest sport you can play in high school and in middle school. If you are mad you can release any anger you have on the other team.
4
This is my Hypothesis I think if the ball spirals it will it will go a farther distance. Then if it does not spiral then it will fall very quickly.
5
The Variables A} Independent - The wobbling and spiraling
B} Dependent - The distance in each throw C} Constants - The size of the football, The spiral and not the spiral
6
The Procedure 1. Get a big backyard 2. Get some volunteers
3. Get the football 4. Get a measuring tape 5. Then throw the football and measure how far a football goes vs. A spiral and not spiral 6. Record the information 7. Repeat all steps
7
The Data 10 9 8 KEY 7 spiral=red 6 wobble=grey 5 4 3 2 1 spiral wobble
8
My conclusion my conclusion is that the wobbleing football went the the shortest amount of feet than the amount of the spiraling football
