2. DEFINING CLASS TERMS
In groups of 3-4 select a term and create a definition for it. You have one class to complete the definition plus time at home until next class.
Next class you will finalize the definition and create a VISUAL illustration or presentation of the term.
You will present your term to the class
The definition must :
provide a general description of the term,
must place the term in historical context,
must provide a factual example

3. EXAMPLE
COUNTRY: A geographically distinct area e.g. because of its natural boundaries or because it is inhabited by a specific group of people. Until the 18th century there were few countries as defined today –as nation states – whereby one people occupied one area. This is a recent development since the onset of the concept of “Nationalism”. Examples of nation states as countries include: France, South Korea, Slovenia.
