Exigent Circumstances-Where a search without a warrant is permissible. Promise to Appear-Authority releases accused if accused signs agreement that they will appear in court on a scheduled date. Summons-issued out of the court office. Has the same purpose as an appearance notice. Bail Hearing-Justice must determine whether the accused should be released from custody pending their trial, and if so upon what conditions.
