2 Managing Money CHOICES
You and your partner will go through and decide how to spend your income based on life circumstances, values and goals.

3 Each group will need: 20 tiles 2 worksheets

4 How to Play Each item has a set # of squares, this is how many beans are needed to “pay” for that item You will first go through and select one item from each of the mandatory categories (marked with a gold star) Food, Housing, Furnishings, Transportation, Insurance, Clothing/Laundry After you have finished selecting the required categories, continue until you have used up all of your beans. Then answer the questions on a separate sheet of paper. We will play 3 different rounds

5 Round #1 Place 20 Tiles Around Your Budget Board Based On Your Needs
Answer the following questions on a separate piece of paper. 1.) What did you want to spend money on that you could not afford? 2.) What was something that you had to have no matter what? 3.) What was something you and your partner had to compromise on?

6 Round #2 Add 5 tiles anywhere you want on the board.
Answer the following question. 1.) What did you decided to spend the extra money on? 2.) Are you satisfied or do you still need more money to have everything you want?

7 Round #3 Clear the board completely. Count out 14 tiles and place them on the board. 1.) What do you have to give up now that you have less to spend?

8 Budgeting Tips Read through the tips and highlight/underline anything you find interesting.

9 Consequences Read through the scenarios INDIVIDUALLY and answer the possible outcomes.
