Technology helps people with disabilities...There's a tendency to not think of the person with a disability as promotable in the same sense as someone without a disability” (Anthes 1998). Employers think disabled people aren't as capable and aren't as promotable as other employees.  Some disabled veterans have been pushed aside because of their inability to cope with daily life and participate in certain activities. Technology can help disabled people have a higher work ethic and work up to the same level as the other workers. When new projects come up, some disabled people wouldn’t be thought about as capable to help. Lead in+transition... “For example, he wasn't allowed to go to computer conferences in other cities because it was deemed unsafe and too difficult” (Anthes 1998).  The author who is a person with disabilities was not allowed by his employers to go to certain conferences because he was in a wheelchair and they said it would be difficult and unsafe. The information technology would help him go to conferences with more ease and less stress. Disabled employees were often overprotected and held out of meetings and other work activities because their employers thought it would be inconvenient and difficult.
