2 #1 goal of U.S. Foreign Policy is What is Foreign Policy?
It is America’s plan for dealing with other countries. #1 goal of U.S. Foreign Policy is National Security!

3 Congress and the President share control of foreign policy.
The President creates treaties that must be approved by the Senate. The President appoints (chooses) Ambassadors to represent the United States and the Senate approves them. Congress can declare war, but the President sends the troops into battle.

4 How does international trade effect foreign relations?
when a country buys or sells products from another country. International trade How does international trade effect foreign relations? Trade effects foreign policy because countries sometimes base their relationships with countries on what they want from that country. The United States can impose trade sanctions (limits) to try to get countries to do something.
