How many Shuttle Runs can one woman complete in 30 seconds
How many Shuttle Runs can one woman complete in 30 seconds? Taken over a period of 6 weeks, her results were recorded….
8
ANOMALY: The woman dipped in her performance, only completing 3 shuttle runs in 30 seconds. This could be due to an injury or sheer laziness to try her best. The woman’s average completion of runs is 4. 5 out of the 6 weeks she managed to complete 4 shuttle runs. She was consistent.

How could the results be improved
How could the results be improved? Many Shuttle Runs were half completed. Recording half a shuttle run will show the woman’s improvement over the course of 6 weeks.
10
Things to note: Discrete data- gaps between bars
Continuous- no gaps between bars Children setting own targets against what they have already accomplished. Look at their data over a few weeks- what realistically could they attain? Anomaly- get the children to discuss why there might be anomalies Drop the time seconds one week (say to 20 seconds) so results one week are different- will the children notice?
