7 When two plates move toward each other and collide or crash, it is called a convergent boundary. These boundaries create trenches, island arcs and mountains. They can also cause volcanic eruptions. There are 3 different types of convergent boundaries... Can you find them in your notes?

8 There are 2 different types of divergent boundaries...which are these?
When two plates move away from each other and to different directions, it is called a divergent boundary. As a result we get rift valleys, mid-ocean ridges and new volcanoes. There are 2 different types of divergent boundaries...which are these?

When two plates slide past each other, it is called a transform boundary. This causes earthquakes, tsunamis and damage along the fault lines.

10 In your groups you will make a poster about the three tectonic boundaries and present them to your class. BE CREATIVE!!!
