7. When two plates move toward each other and collide or crash, it is called a convergent boundary. These boundaries create trenches, island arcs and mountains. They can also cause volcanic eruptions.
There are 3 different types of convergent boundaries... Can you find them in your notes?

8. There are 2 different types of divergent boundaries...which are these?
When two plates move away from each other and to different directions, it is called a divergent boundary. As a result we get rift valleys, mid-ocean ridges and new volcanoes.
