FDR’s Court Packing Plan—Wanted to Stop Supreme Court from blocking New Deal Roosevelt developed a Court-packing scheme where he proposed that the President appoint an additional Justice to the Court for each one over the age of 70 ½. This plan was rejected by Congress and the American public Violated Separation of Powers
