A nation with its own government, occupying a particular territory WITHIN A CONTINENT.

23. What is a State/Territory?
A territory considered as an organized political community under one government.
A territory is an area of land under the jurisdiction of a ruler or state

A place where people live that is larger or more important than a town : an area where many people live and work WITHIN A STATE/TERRITORY.
