Segregation of CIB2 mutations, audiometric data and fundoscopy images in CIB2 patients
Segregation of CIB2 mutations, audiometric data and fundoscopy images in CIB2 patients Pedigrees for the Trio‐A (Palestinian Arab) and L‐700 (Iranian) families. Filled symbols denote affected individuals, and double lines indicate consanguinity. Red letters represent the CIB2 mutant alleles segregating with the nonsyndromic hearing loss.Audiograms were obtained using pure‐tone audiometry with air conduction from frequencies from 250 Hz to 8,000 Hz. Severe‐to‐profound hearing loss was observed in CIB2 patients. The fundoscopy images from CIB2 patients II.1 and II.2 (Family L‐700) illustrate the normal architecture of the eye, with no pigment deposits indicative of a potential retinitis pigmentosa.
