Microsoft office Word 2010 Introduction:
Microsoft Word 2010 is one of the programs of the Office 2010 package is a word processing, which allows the introduction of words in electronic form on virtual pages within a file under the name of a document with the possibility to insert tables, images and statistical charts. These pages are printable, compact, and updatable with the possibility to keep the original file intact. The program also provides the possibility to arrange data, search, create links within a single document or link an active text to an external file of another type.

CHAPTER 1: THE MAIN SCREEN
To run Microsoft Word 2010 click : Start < all program < Microsoft office < Microsoft word 2010 the following window will appear:

If you are familiar with the office 2003 program, you will notice the absence of drop-down menus, but do not get confused, the tapes will make it easier to operate than drop-down menus. The main interface elements are: 1. Command Bar: Is a set of icons to perform key tasks such as ( save , back) More commands can be seen by pressing the small black arrow to the left of the icons. You can add more commands by pressing the black arrow to the left of the icons and selecting More Commands

2. Ribbons: Pages are categorized according to the function of the tools they contain. You can scroll through the tapes by clicking on the name of the tape 3. Tools: Each tape contains a set of tools that perform functions classified by tape name. 4. Default file names: When you open a new file, the default file name is Document 1 If we want to change the file name: click file < save as the following window will appear:

Now the changes can be stored each time under the same name by pressing a bar file < save , or click the icon Located in the command bar. 5. Change the range of view: The page preview size can be zoomed by dragging the arm to the right or left.

CHAPTER 2: word art The main text is used to create text that has special effects such as (Glow , Shadow, Gradient, Reflection …etc). These texts can be used in the design of the first page of a book, or an advertisement. To insert master text: Click insert bar < click icon Select the desired format from the menu, Note that the shape can be modified later < You'll see a text box to type the text inside

To change the text, click inside the text and write the new text.
To rotate the text, click inside the text, a green circle will appear at the top of the box, click on it and the shape of the shape. To change the font size: click home bar < click for enlargement and decrement For more effects, double click on the text frame, a new bar titled “format” will appear with tools to add the following effects: To change the text color. Change the color of the text frame, or change the font style. To change the color fill the text box. To change the color of a text box window, change the frame style To add effects to text, click the small arrow to the right of the icon and select an effect from the list:

To change the character path (e.g make it wavy), click the icon < transform select the desired format from the list: Two pink dots will appear around the shape. You can change the letters by dragging these dots.

CHAPTER 3: keyboard shortcut
active ← ↑ → ↓ Move the pointer in the document. Home Move the pointer to the beginning of the line End Move the pointer to the end of the line Shift +(↓ → ↑ ←) Shading the text from the pointer position towards the arrow. Shift + Home Shading the text from the pointer position to the beginning of the line Shift + End Shading the text from the pointer position to the end of the line Ctrl + B Convert Shaded Text to Bold Text Ctrl + I Convert shaded text to italic text

CHAPTER 4: general setting
To save a new file for the first time: Click the bar file < save as the following window will appear: Now the changes can be stored each time under the same name by pressing a bar file < save or click on the icon located on the command window

When you open a file that is in your computer in the office 2010 package, the following alert bar appears indicating that confirmation of consent to open or update this file is required. Press the button Enable Editing and directly update the file To turn off the alarm completely click : File < Option < Trust Center < Trust Center Setting < put the mark on the choice Never Show the information about blocked content < OK.

To flip the page from portrait mode to landscape mode click :
Page layout < Orientation < Landscape as shown To create a frame for the page click: Page Layout < Page borders The following window will appear

To show the ruler: View < put the mark (√) inside the box ruler To convert the measuring unit from inch to centimeter click: File < Option < Advanced < Move the vertical ruler down to the bottom of the window until you reach the field display < change the unit from inch to centimeter

To add page numbers: Click a bar Insert < page number
Click top of page to type the numbers in the top of the page or click bottom of page to type the numbers down the page. Page numbers will automatically appear on all pages

To add text at the top and bottom of all pages (e. g
To add text at the top and bottom of all pages (e.g. book name, chapter title) click a bar: Insert < click header to add text in the top of pages or choose footer to add text down pages . Texts will automatically appear on all pages.

To preview the form of the page before printing :
Click icon from command bar , If you do not find this icon there, click on the black arrow at the end of the command bar to display more options and choose Print Preview and print :

To return to the action interface: again click the bar file or click the button Esc from the keyboard For printing click: File < print < Select Settings in the window below < click the button print
