A total of 318 students were evaluated on their IPPE Clinical SOAP note performance in three separate years, (107 students), (108 students) and (103 students).
A high percentage of students were competent in their SOAP note presentation with 91%, 93% and 90% of students being competent for the years of , and respectively.
Competency was identified as not having to redo a section

Evaluation of presentations varied
No set goal for competency score
The students’ presentations on their SOAP note were evaluated by different faculty graders, allowing for some variability in the scores received. Based on the fourteen areas highlighted in the grading rubric on the SOAP note, there was not a single score categorized as achieved competency.
