5 Rubrics A completed rubric is needed for every project
If you do not fill out your rubric your project will not be graded Rubrics can be found on the AP studio website assignments page (breadth and concentration) Rubrics are due the same day your projects are due (usually Mondays)

6 Concentration Ideas Before you leave today show Mr. Sprau your list of 50 concentration ideas Concentration Homework: Due Friday 10/2 Narrow down your ideas to 6 ideas, themes, objects or things For each idea write 3-5 sentences about why each idea interests you or what you plan to do with that idea Type this up in your google drive folder. Name your document “Concentration Brainstorming” Share a google drive folder with your teacher if you haven't already. Some people still haven't!

7 Photograph Artwork Your artwork must be photographed
Photographs must be of good quality and must look professional. You may need to crop your photos (you will be shown how to do this) You have to upload your photos to your google drive folder and to your website at the end of each week (by friday) You may take pictures of your artwork with your phone if it is of good quality. I have a camera you can use to take quality pictures.

8 Who am I? Upload your Who am I document to the first page of your website. Add a picture of yourself to your main page as well Due Friday

9 Drawing VS 2D design portfolio
Make a decision by FRIDAY. Let Mr. Sprau help you out with a decision if you need help with a decision. Bring your computers TOMORROW

10 Critique tips Questions to ask: What is the artist's intent?
What is the meaning behind the art? How are the elements and principles used? How does the media support the composition? What needs improvement? WHY? What is done well? Why? Is the overall work successful? How original is the artwork? Use art terminology!

11 Day 2 Do Now On a scratch piece of paper, draw 4 cubes using 1 point perspective. Use the same focal point for each square

We will be drawing the hallways of the school for the rest of the hour Your objective will be to complete a contour line drawing by the end of class in your sketchbook using 1 point or 2 point perspective Use a ruler! Add some value! Give your drawing a surreal twist

40 Tips Start with a light contour drawing
Break folds down into simple shapes gradually build up your dark values The only white paper that should be seen is the lightest highlights of your fabric You can add white conte crayon or chalk over your chalk for the highlights

41 Daily Assignment We will be doing some sketches of fabric in class over the next few days for practice Try your best to draw the draped fabric in your sketchbook Start with a contour line drawing then gradually build up your value Your drawing is due at the end of class Think about your composition. Your fabric does not have to be smack dab in the middle of your paper
