Lunar information It takes 27.3 days for the moon to orbit the Earth and rotate on it’s own axis. So, as it’s rotating, there are different phases; first quarter, waxing crescent, new moon, waning crescent, third quarter, waning gibbous, full moon, and waxing gibbous.

Lunar Information The Moon is 4.5 billion years old.
It is 384,467 km away from the earth. In a 2 week daytime period, the moon is about degrees F and a 2 week night period its about -270 degrees.
