2. directions Write the following on your manila folder:
Your first initial and your last name on the TOP LABEL TAB of the folder (ex: A. Essayrider, D. Eaton, N. Rodriguez)
Your name, graduation year, and grade level on the FRONT, LEFT-HAND CORNER of the folder
First and Last Name c/o th grade
Put your essay inside your folder.
Put your folder in a filing cabinet by period.
DIRECTIONS FOR TEACHERS: Start this process once you have graded and inputted the students’ first writing assignment that you plan on including within their portfolios. WHAT AND WHEN TO PASS OUT: (1) Give each student a blank manila folder and a marker. (2) Give each student his/her first, graded essay. (4) Have one-to-three students collect all of the portfolios and put them neatly in a filing cabinet in your classroom by period; also collect and put away the markers.
