11. Review of The Butterfly hotel, Kennedy Town
I stayed at the Butterfly hotel in Kennedy Town for two nights over Christmas with my husband and two children.
I was extremely disappointed with the hotel and left after two nights, although we were meant to stay for a whole week!
The staff were very unfriendly and couldn’t speak English very well. They did not have any guide books about Hong Kong and wouldn’t give us any tourist information.
Our room was small and clean but there was no view - we looked out onto a brick wall and we could hardly sleep because there was a nightclub next door, that played loud music till 4am. The WIFI in the room was very weak and I couldn’t connect.
There were few English speaking channels on the tv - hardly suitable for us! The restaurant was awful - the opening hours were very short and breakfast finished at 8am so we didn’t have a chance to have a long lie. They didn’t even do room service!
I was looking forward to relaxing in the pool but it was extremely disappointing as it was only 3 metres long and didn’t look very clean.
Considering the high price we paid for our accommodation, I do not feel that we had good value for money and don’t recommend that you stay here!
