1 THE SHAME OF PRIDE PROVERBS 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame;
6/14/2015 THE SHAME OF PRIDE PROVERBS 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

2 Pride Prov 12:9 Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, than he who honors himself but lacks bread. 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise. 13:10 By pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well-advised is wisdom. 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. 16:25

3 Pride 15:12 A scoffer does not love one who corrects him, nor will he go to the wise. 15:31-33 The ear that hears the rebukes of life will abide among the wise. He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, but he who heeds rebuke gets understanding. The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility.

4 Pride 16:5 Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; though they join forces, none will go unpunished. 21:4 16:18-19 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. 18:12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility.

5 Pride 20:6 Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, but who can find a faithful man? 21:4 A haughty look, a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked are sin. 21:24 A proud and haughty man — "Scoffer" is his name; he acts with arrogant pride. 22:10 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

6 Pride 25:6-7 Do not exalt yourself in the presence of the king, and do not stand in the place of the great; for it is better that he say to you, "Come up here,“ than that you should be put lower in the presence of the prince, whom your eyes have seen. 25:14 Whoever falsely boasts of giving Is like clouds and wind without rain.

7 Pride 26:12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. James 4:16 28:25 He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.

8 Pride 28:26 He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered. 29:23 A man's pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor. 30:11-13 There is a generation that curses its father, and does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, yet is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation — oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.
