Final Discussion Questions
According to these documents, why were people opposed to women’s suffrage? Why was women’s suffrage so scary to so many people? (try to really see the world from their view, don’t just assume that they are mean – even though they are ;-) Do you think the reasons for opposing women’s suffrage were political (ex: men didn’t want to lose their status or power) or social (ex: ideas about a woman’s place in society)?
