Math Notes:
Language Arts Notes:
This week we continued chapter 7 in Go Math! We focused on numbers this week. We have been counting, writing, and making addition problems (“decomposing”) using 10+__ = __, etc. Next week we’ll continue with numbers through 19.
This week was Lesson 14 in StoryTown. We learned the words “where” and “do”. These can be tough words for the kids to remember, so continue to practice them at home. We also worked on the “word families” of –in and –ig this week.
Extras:
We will be having a Big Station Day on Jan. 31st. Each classroom needs 2 volunteers to help us with this day. We will need you from 9:30-1:30 and you will need to bring a lunch from home. The theme for this Big Station day is Winter! If you are willing and available to help with this day, please or send a note into your child’s teacher by Jan. 18th!  
Don’t forget! There is a Late Start Day on Friday, Jan. 18th! School doors open at 11:05! (Visit Chick-fil-a anytime that day and mention you’re from Mt. View for money towards our school!)
