Saturn Is Awesome By Aislinn Valentine and Chloe Doser

2 Saturn’s Temperature Temperature: The temperature of Saturn’s space atmosphere is colder than -150 A C, but when you go deeper to the core the temperature can be up to 11,700 A C.  When you get to Saturn’s atmosphere, the temperature drops rapidly. Scientists think that Saturn is about -350 F (which is also -212 C.)

3 Size and Distance Saturn’s distance from the sun is 9.54 A.U.
(Astronomical unit) Saturn is so huge that you can fit 833 earths The diameter of Saturn is 120,536 km.

4 Weight, Density, and Gravity
Out of all the planets, Saturn has the lowest density. Because Saturn is made up mostly of hydrogen and helium, it is really light. Saturn does not have a solid surface, so you can’t walk and feel the gravity of Saturn. Scientists believe that Saturn’s gravity is 10.44 m/s x 2

5 Saturn’s Moons Saturn has about 61 moons and the biggest moon is called Titan. In 2005, the Huygens probe landed on Titans surface. Scientists gathered information a lot about Saturn’s moons by sending the Cassini space probe. Scientists’ think Titan may support life.

6 Saturn’s Rings The rings of Saturn are kept in place by gravity.
Some rings are kept in orbit by some of Saturn’s moons. The rings are made up of dust, ice, and bits of rock.

7 Brainpop

8 Saturn’s Features Since Saturn is so big, it is mainly made up of gas.
Saturn is the 2nd largest planet in this galaxy. Through the most powerful telescope, like the Hubble, you can see that it is a pale yellow hue with hints of orange in it.
