used for getting more information or for clarifying a point.
assumes that the speaker has some specialist knowledge and the audience has only come to listen.

Discussion –
suggests that the audience and speaker are more equal (even if they are not).
commonly used when a decision has yet to be made, if plans are being developed, or if the speaker is talking about theoretical ideas.
