You may have noticed… These verbs (trudge and stroll) have similar meanings, but each has a different CONNOTATIVE MEANING.

Connotative Meaning (Connotation)
Connotative meaning – the feeling suggested by a word or phrase. TRUDGE connotes a struggle, but STROLL suggests a relaxing walk.
