We can relate temperature, pressure, and volume of gases with some simple equations or laws

Guy Lussac’s Law
REMEMBER: THESE ARE ONLY FOR GASES!!

5. Special Notes About Using the Gas Laws
Units for a certain variable (P, T, or V) must match.
“Constant” means it does not change (ignore it!)
The Laws describe “ideal” gases, and are best seen as estimations.

6. Standard Temp. & Press. (STP)
Standard temperature and pressure (STP)
Standard temperature is 0°C ( K).
Standard pressure is 1 atm

The graph of Boyle’s law shows that the pressure of a gas varies inversely with its volume at constant temperature.
