Paul preached by the revelation of Jesus (Gal. 1:11-12). Ways and commandments of the Lord (1 Cor. 4:16-17; 14:37). Do what he taught (Phil. 4:9). Hold fast to the traditions (2 Thess. 2:15).

God’s commandments in the old testament regarding the use of instruments of music are obsolete.
Israelites were instructed. Psalm 150 1 Chronicles 23:2-5; 28:19; Chronicles 29:25-28 The old covenant is obsolete because Christ established a new covenant (Heb. 8:6, 13; 10:9).

Christians are commanded what kind of music has been sanctified for worship.
The human heart is the instrument the Lord commands to be used through singing (Eph. 5:17-21). Specifies what kind of music; specifies what kind of songs. When Christ’s word lives in us, we do not go beyond what is written about worship (Col. 3:16-17).
