Christian principles, absolute monarchies, and anti-revolution

4. Effects of the Congress of Vienna
Made weaker countries stronger (eventually unified Germany)
Liberals and conservatives fought for power and their ideals
Concert of Europe was formed (an alliance of countries that would not allow revolution)

5. Spread of Nationalism
From 1830 to 1848, Nationalist revolutions broke out over Europe. They failed to bring governmental changes.
Eventually, nationalism would lead to unifications and the splitting of nations.
France lost power, while Britain and Prussia gained.
France overthrows next absolute monarch, they elect the nephew of Napoleon and he took the title of emperor.
