Martin Luther King JR. wrote the letter to answer criticism about segregation.
The letter was about dealing with racial segregation in the courts not the streets.
They said he caused to much trouble about wanting to take the situation to court.
He confessed he was disappointed with the whites because they were still segregating.
He treated blacks and whites equal while others judged .

5. RELEVANCE
This is important to our nations history because it was part of the Civil Rights Movement and he tried really hard to get rights equal for everybody. Now everyone is treated equally no matter there race.
