1 Class Procedures Mrs. Hall - Forsett

2 Students entering/LEAVING the class

3 Check your selfie Before you enter: Electronic Devices put away
Proper Uniform ID Badge NO FOOD OR DRINK!! Ready to be a POSITIVE attribute to the learning environment

4 Entering the room Students will enter room quietly, put on hand sanitizer, get manipulatives (notebooks/folders), sit in assigned seat and begin the warm up activity that will be on the board or in folder.

5 Entering late Students entering after the tardy bell MUST HAVE A PASS and it will be documented in TEAMS.

6 Leaving class Students will clean area, push in chair and turn in manipulatives. (sanitize personal area) Students leaving class early must have a pass from an administrator or faculty member. Any other reasons students will not be permitted.

7 Bell work warm up

8 Warm Up Activities What: Variety of activities: Effective Paragraph, Post-it Note, Discussion, etc… (Some weeks will focus on a specific topic.) Where: Activity will be posted upon arrival in the class Graded: Assignments will be graded weekly Timed: Students will have 5 minutes to complete Warm up. We will have music for our warm-ups on certain days!

9 Let’s cover the basics

10 I have the floor If students need to speak or move they must signal the teacher by raising their hand. Students will not interrupt teacher or peers when they have the floor to speak. Unnecessary movement will not be allowed and students who are permitted to move must return quickly and quietly.

11 I need a …. If materials are needed the students can get materials during the Warm-up time frame. If the teacher is supplying material for a project/product the teacher will designate how the supplies will be distributed.

12 F o c u s Students are expected to be attentive at all times and anticipate instruction. Students will be given 10 seconds to come to order, before student privileges are revoked.

13 Students should use the restroom and handle personal business before the class begins.
Students WILL NOT interrupt instruction to go to the restroom or leave for personal reasons. N O

14 Mrs. Forsett I need…

15 TRASHCAN supplies The students are expected to keep their area neat and clean. Students can hold the paper until the end of class. If while teacher is walking and see paper the teacher will throw in recycling bin. DON’T LET ME FIND TRASH IN YOUR AREA... Students who need supplies (pen/paper/etc..) must get within the time allotted for warm ups. Don’t wait until we are working to ask for supplies

16 TISSUE/HANd sanitizer
Students needing tissue or hand sanitizer are expected to get my attention by raising their hand. I will bring the Kleenex box to them along with hand sanitizer to prevent the student from making contact with any surfaces and spreading germs. DO NOT WALK AROUND CLASSROOM FOR ANY REASON,UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY MRS. FORSETT YOU MUST STAY IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEAT.

17 DISSMISSAL

18 WHEN IT’S TIME TO GO I SHOULD…
Students are not dismissed by the bell. Students will be given the last few minutes of class to straighten up their area, turn in all assignments, notebooks, and portfolios, log out of computers, and then prepare to leave. Students will be permitted to leave only after all things are put back in order for the next class.

21 DRESS CODE Make sure you are in proper dress code according to the student handbook and code of conduct. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ROOM WITHOUT PROPER ATTIRE. Any violators will be documented in Review 360.

22 ELECTRONIC DEVICES NO electronic devices are allowed in class; this includes: cell phones, head phones, tablets, etc… ONE WARNING!!!

23 Food & Drink NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED
You will receive one warning and then you can put on my desk or leave class and take an absent and a write up in 360…. ONE WARNING!!

24 WHEN SOMEONE ENTERS THE ROOM
Students are expected to be on their best behavior every day, especially when a guest or an administrator is present. Students are expected to be fully engaged and prepared to answer questions from our guest speakers. DO NOT FOR ANY REASON OPEN THE DOOR!

25 Do not walk around unless it is documented in your file that you cannot sit still for the duration of a class period. Stay in your seat

Do not talk across the room. We will have time for classroom discussions. Talk talktalk talk talk

27 Students that get caught breaking the rules will receive a warning
Students that get caught breaking the rules will receive a warning. The next plan of action is to talk to the student and redirect their behavior. If the student continues, I will contact the parent. If they are caught again, they will be written up in Review 360. If the student continues to misbehave a parent meeting will be organized and a meeting with an administrator will be requested to create a plan for the student to redirect the behavior. I will keep a documentation log for student behavior. BREAKING CLASS RULES

28 STUDENT GRADE CHECK Students will be updated on their grade average weekly. Any students with an average below a 75% will be recommended to tutoring.
