Araidne – who helps Theseus find a way out of the Labyrinth; (She offers him the ball of twine to use as a way of escape and a sharp sword to kill the Minotaur)

Medea (Theseus’ step mother who tries to poison him.)
The Minotaur (a horrible monster – Athens had to make a yearly tribute of 7 boys and 7 girls it King Minos of Crete) he was kept in the Labyrinth built by Daedalus.

8. Darkness Theseus betrayal of Aridne. He leaves her on the island.
