Do you state the theme in different words in your claim?
Check your evidence (Body Paragraph Cs)
Do you have quotes with a beginning quotation mark, and end quotation mark, and a citation? (Citation for this would be just a line number)

5. Check List 2 Check your breakdown of the quote (Body Paragraph Ds)
Did you break down the quote into simpler words?
Check your Connection to claim(Body Paragraph Es)
Do you explain how the quote is the poetic device you stated in you claim?

6. Body Paragraph Checks 3
Check your Connection to thesis (Body Paragraph Fs)
Do you explain how the quote supports the theme stated in your thesis?
Check your Concluding Statement(Body Paragraph Gs)
Do you introduce evidence that is to come in your next paragraph?

7. Check List 3 Have you addressed the counter argument?
See yellow paper with counter arguments on top.
Have you written a conclusion?
Make sure to talk about the theme as a lesson (yes I know it’s not a moral)
Make sure you connect back to your attention grabber not just rewrite it.

8. Final Drafts Due Friday 20th

This essay can replace a rough draft grade if you received an M for Friday’s Rough Draft check
