Thanks for coming to the first Mu Alpha Theta meeting of the year! We will be discussing point requirements, contact info, and how to acquire a competition point today!

4. Upcoming Math Events (Competitions)
UGA- Sat 10/21 ($10 per person)--LIMITED SPACE
Rockdale- Sat 10/28 ($5 per person)--LIMITED SPACE
KSU- Wed 11/1 (yes, after school)
Mandelbrot- Thurs 11/2 (yes, after school)

5. Meet the officers!
Senior Officers: Brian, Anna, Surya, Mustafa
Junior Officers: Abby, Jack, Aashay, Renee

6. Information
Point System: Complete a total of 20 hours (10 hours a semester for those who can’t divide but then why are you here)
-Tutoring (at least 8 hours)
-Competition (at least 8 hours): AMC, GML, Math Team, etc.
-Helping a Math Teacher (at least 1 hour)
-Miscellaneous: extra tutoring or helping a teacher
Pay $10 membership fee on mypaymentsplus

8. Disclaimer
Everyone can join Mu Alpha Theta, but only those that MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS will receive recognition (cords):
90 average for all high school math (in order to get a cord!)
Certain number of math related community service and competition
Attendance requirement for MAT meetings: MUST MISS LESS THAN TWO MEETINGS TO REMAIN IN CLUB
