You are researching a real-world (either historical or current) “dystopia.”
Is it REALLY a dystopia in the sense of a futuristic, robotic, space age? …. No.
How can a country/city/society be a dystopia?
Your job is to find out what makes your place a “dystopian society” by working with a partner to complete online research and create a Glogster.

What are some elements of dystopian societies that might be present here?… harsh government control, oppression, danger, death, no contact with the outside world, etc.

4. HOW To Begin YouR Research
Determine a few key ideas to look for.
You can Google…. Sure. But how do you determine whether or not a website you find is credible and authentic?
Great places to start --- ANY news source (CNN, New York Times, Fox News, ABC News, Washington Post, BBC, etc.), Time Magazine, National Geographic.
Gather your information from any source but YOU MUST CITE YOUR SOURCE ON YOUR GRAPHIC ORGANIZER. NO CITATION… NO CREDIT.

5. But I want to Work Alone!
… Sorry. Part of life, part of the real world, is learning how to collaborate with others. Sometimes that means people you wouldn’t choose.
Part of your grade will be determined by your partner, and part of your partner’s grade will be determined by you. The overall product grade will count for you both, so make it work!
The best strategy is to come up with a plan for how you can work together and help each other.
