1 Extra Credit: 4 pts. Watch tonight’s Presidential Debate, which begins at 9 pm. Write a half a page, single spaced, reflecting on your view of the debate. What did the candidates discuss? Did they discuss natural rights or any of the U.S. Bill of Rights? Did they discuss how they would defend those rights? Did they seemed to support big government or limited government?

3 Revolution Explain how the Enlightenment influenced the American and French revolutions leading to the formation of limited forms of government, including the relationship between people and their government, the role of constitutions, the characteristics of shared powers, the protection of individual rights, and the promotion of the common good.

4 The American Revolution Group Project
Instructions: Today you will work in groups and create a skit about the American and French Revolutions. Some groups will present the events leading up to the Revolution and others will present the events of the Revolution. The project is due Fri. 10/21. Groups will begin presenting on Fri. Your group skit will present the material from the section of the book that has been assigned to you. Each group should read the section of the book together and discuss the material. Next, the team should begin creating an outline of the script and begin dividing up parts. I will assign the groups and members.

Instructions: 5. Remember, you are teaching the class your assigned section of the book, so make sure you present the information in a clear interesting way. You may use visual aides/props. Have fun and make the skit interesting, but make sure to stay on topic! You have today and tomorrow to work on the skits. Groups will start presenting skits on Fri 10/21
