3 Z-Scores The number of standard deviations a score is from the population 3 things you need: Population mean Population standard deviation Individual Score Compares multiple unrelated constructs Compares individual scores to the overall population

4 Scenario Sleep can be a factor that most people don’t think about. This may be because people get so focused on everything that they have to do that they do not take the time to make sure that they are getting proper sleep! Well now we will figure out how much sleep students in this course believe that they get in a week. What can we infer about this information? Should you change something to make sure you’re getting adequate sleep?

5 Negatively or Positively Skewed?
Students have many different things that they do in addition to school. In fact most students have jobs. In this scenario we will find out how many hours a student generally works in a week. What can we infer about these findings?

6 Your Turn!! We’ve seen so far the average hours that a student works in addition to the hours that a student typically gets. In this scenario we will look at how many credit hours students tend to take in a semester. How do these three components relate to each other? What can we infer from our findings?
