CHIMERE Workshop 2005 Lyon - Grenoble Lyon : at the junction of the Rhone and Saone Rivers relatively flat topography (z<500 m ASL) Grenoble : located in a Y-shaped convergence of three deep valleys with surrounding mountains as high as 3000 m ASL mountainous region & complex topography

CHIMERE Workshop 2005 Lyon operational O 3 & NO 2 hourly prevision NCEP - MM5 – CHIMERE (V200310G, linux OS ) installed in 2004 – ACRI ST stand by for new emission cadastre Domain, resolution: – 160 km x 120 km - 4 x 4 km² = old chimere version evaluation of the impact – project : extension of the domain (including Bourgoin- Jallieu) and higher resolution (2 x 2 km² ?)
