In your notebook… Come up with some ways that you could show the following in a graphic novel. Think about comics and ABC, and then use your imagination!

Pregnancy…and the event leading to it…

2. Rough Draft
Sketch out every panel on notebook paper. Plan for size and shape of panels, the order, the text, etc.
DO NOT spend a lot of time on details.
DO NOT color.
TIPS:
Important Scenes = Bigger Panels
Use “splash page” panels to show setting, emotion, etc.
Use captions as a narrator to give background info.
Make your panels a variety of shapes and sizes
