1 CLASSROOM GUIDELINES

2 SHOW RESPECT AND COURTESY

3 Use an appropriate TONE OF VOICE.
(not too loud or sassy!)

4 Use appropriate language.

5 Do NOT use the electric pencil sharpener during instruction or presentations
(small hand sharpeners are provided at the back table for your convenience during class).

23 Be ON-TIME for class.

24 are considered an absence.
TARDIES OVER 5 MINUTES are considered an absence.

25 Come PREPARED (binder and pencil)

26 Bring your BINDER to class EVERY DAY!

27 PARTICIPATION POINTS 10 POINTS PER DAY

28 You lose points for: Being tardy to class
Not participating in your group Socializing Sleeping/head down on your desk Inappropriate comments Not bringing your materials to class Violating school rules (headphone/cell phone use) UNEXCUSED ABSENCES

29 This is a “no cell phone” classroom.
Cell phones will be confiscated if used during class.

37 are written on the board each day. READ the board when you come in.

38 ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETED IN PENCIL.

39 FREE PENCIL DAY is the first day of each new marking period.

40 Mechanical pencils may be purchased BEFORE CLASS for 25 cents.
Please do not interrupt class!

41 You get ONE DAY for each day of an EXCUSED absence to turn-in your work.

42 If your absence is UNEXCUSED, you will receive a ZERO for all assignments that day (including quizzes/tests and participation points).

43 It is YOUR responsibility to make-up work when you are absent.

44 ATTENDANCE POLICY Only 6 ABSENCES per term

45 3 Tardies = 1 Absence

46 HOMEWORK is accepted up to three days after solutions are provided to make your corrections.

48 GRADING POLICY

49 HOMEWORK 2 points for a homework check (you can use extra credit bucks for these) 5 points for turning in assignments that are COMPLETED with your CORRECTIONS

50 CLASSWORK 2 POINTS for warm-ups 5 POINTS for worksheets
CANNOT BE TURNED IN LATE (unless special permission is granted)

51 EXTRA CREDIT BUCKS can be used for
Homework checks/late work Extra points on quizzes/tests Extra points on the final exam

52 TERM GRADES Term work is worth 80%. The final exam is worth 20%.
Credit/No-Credit and your G.P.A. are based on the TERM GRADE and your attendance.
