Which container has more liquid?
Comparing Liquid Volume Demo pg. 69 TE Before class, use a graduated cylinder to add the same amount of water to each of three containers (Erlenmeyer flask, square glass bottle, graduated cylinder, round bottom flask) use food coloring to make the liquid stand out. Pick a volume that will almost fill the narrowest container to avoid evaporation, replace the lids on the containers. Before reading ask students to guess which container has more liquid in it. After reading the section on Liquids on pg. 69 pour the liquids into individual graduated cylinders to reveal equal amounts of liquid in each container.
