Week of: March 9 - March 13, 2015 Reading: Europe Phonics: /Ww/
We’ve Been Busy! A Look at Next Week… This week in our Phonetic Connections curriculum, we focused on the /d/ sound. We practiced rhyming words, writing and reading CVC words. We have been BUSY this week trying to catch up on Snow Days and complete assessments for report cards!! Thank you for your patience when it comes to our reading group books. We continued our study of the 7 continents by visiting Asia. We wrote facts about Asia. In math, we completed our individual math assessments on each student. Reading: Europe Phonics: /Ww/ Writing: Facts about Europe; Leprechaun writing Unit Studies: Europe Math: Numbers 16-20 Important Dates Words of the Week March 18th-19th: Parent Teacher Conferences 4-7 pm March 23rd-27th: SPRING BREAK (No School) Bed, pat, wed, wet, win, wig Sight Words: they, went What Can You Do at Home? Read The Clover Is… reader in your child’s folder. He/she will need to cut and glue the clovers provided in the correct place by reading the positional terms on each page. Then, he/she will circle known sight words and underline each positional term. Thank you for your support in helping your child to achieve this practice at home!
