1 Protista

2 Kingdoms First of all you need to make sure that somewhere on your paper you have listed the kingdoms. You can do this on the back. Protista Animalia Plantae Fungi Eubacteria Archaebacteria You also need to know that there are three types of protists. Put this on your paper also. Plant like protist Animal like protist Fungi like protist

3 All Bacteria are Prokaryotic (do not have a nucleus in their cells)
Protist Vs. Bacteria All Bacteria are Prokaryotic (do not have a nucleus in their cells) Some Protists are prokaryotic, some are Eukaryotic (have a nucleus)

4 Characteristics of Plant like Protists
Cell Walls Chlorophyll Autrotrophs (make their own food) Can be unicellular or multicellular Reproduce by asexual reproduction (1 parent)

5 Characteristics of Animal Like Protists
Ability to move Heterotrophs

6 Characteristic of Fungi like Protists
Hetertrophs (decomposers)

7 Have false feet called Pseudopodia
Amoeba Have false feet called Pseudopodia Eat by hunting their prey and engulfing it (called Phagocytosis) Like a paramecium they have a contractile vacuole and place food in food vacuoles for digestion.

8 Surrounded by cilia (hair like structures they use for locomotion)
Paramecium Definite shape Surrounded by cilia (hair like structures they use for locomotion) Have a mouth pore and an anal pore They eat by endocytosis (taking the food into their mouth pore)

9 Euglena (not on your sheet, but on the test)
Has a Flagella (whip like structure they use for locomotion) Have an eye spot to locate prey Have chloroplasts and chlorophyll These protists can be either autotrophic or heterotrophic!!!
