1 MOSS: A Botanical Study
Pictures taken from 9/26/15 compared to similar ones taken on 9/30/15 Dan Williams, Marissa Sobel, Lilly Thomann

2 Pictures from 9/26 aridity vs. 9/30 dampness
The moss was quite a bit more difficult to find when dry vs. wet Some color difference:

3 Foundation at 601 Tully facing
Close up pic from 9/26 Similar view from 9/30; little difference Note green and brown moss Perhaps less impact because of being off of ground

4 Tree “injection” across street from 601 Tully
When taking pictures noticed a tree tag of an injection ‘site’: A neighbor woman walking her dog asked what the pictures were for and also that she believed moss, especially on this tree, was a nuisance and that the tree should be cut down or taken care of, also Help Rain Garden

5 Rain Garden has seen better days yet useful
Interesting to note that there was not much moss to be found there Perhaps because its system causes rain to be pulled to the root in soil Some moss was found there:

6 Rain Garden back wall by broken chain link
Pictures from 9/26 Pictures from 9/30 Perhaps since it was Saturday, kids threw nuts Moss is a bit darker

7 Some pictures only taken on 9/30 before class
While upstairs waiting for class to start and while Tattfoo was out on the porch we took a few pictures since we weren’t able to get that perspective on the weekend before when taking the initial pictures:

8 Extra growth pictures not noticed on 9/26

9 Moss on Trees, though wasn’t on all of them

10 Interesting angles near the deck of 601 Tully
