Warm Up (Answer the question in a complete sentence)
Scientists are filled with curiosity and ask many questions about our world and our universe. They use a method to find answers to those questions. They start with a guess or hypothesis about what is happening. Then they observe, conduct experiments, collect data and analyze that data to find answers. After careful analysis of the data, they draw conclusions that may support their hypothesis or not. How is the scientific method similar to or different from superstition (like Urban Legends or Myths)? Some Urban Legends: “If you cross your eyes, they'll stay that way.” “Cracking your knuckles causes arthritis.” “Coffee stunts your growth.”
