Rounding whole numbers
Rounding a whole number means reducing the digits in a number while trying to keep its value similar (Mathisfun.com, n.d.). Decide which is the last digit to keep Leave it in the same of the next digit is less then 5 (rounding down) Increase it by 1 (one) if the next digit is 5 or more (rounding up) Example: 43 rounded to the nearest tenth is 40 180 rounded to the nearest hundredth is 200 Let’s practice
