Seneca Falls Convention
Lucretia Mott & Elizabeth Stanton organized the event. It was when women came together to discuss the rights they were entitled to and created the Declaration of Sentiments. It was very similar to the Declaration of Independence, the first day only women were allowed but the second day they welcomed everyone.

1850: An alliance is formed with Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth in the women rights movement.

Susan B. Anthony 1853: Woman delegates, Antoinette Brown and Susan B. Anthony are not allowed to speak at the World’s Temperance Convention.

1866: Stanton, Anthony form the American Equal Rights Association

1869: Wyoming passes the first women’s suffrage law.

1872: Anthony casts her ballot for the Ulysses S. Grant.

July 5th, 1909 Marion Wallace Dunlop
1st imprisoned women to go on a hunger strike because the prison wouldn’t recognize her as political prisoner where she could receive special treatment.This caused controversy because they couldn’t release her for being rebellious so this developed force feeding.

1920: ¾ of the state legislatures ratify the 19th Amendment.
