2 Question What cleans a penny 409 cleaner,Bleach,or Vinegar and Salt?

3 Materials 409 Cleaner,Bleach,Vinegar and Salt,3 cups,3 pennies,and 1 poster board

4 Hypothesis If I combine vinegar and salt and drop penny in it then, the vinegar and salt will clean the penny best compared to 409 and Bleach

5 Variables *Independent-The type of cleaning materials.
*Dependant-How clean the penny is. *Constant-Amount or cleaner.Same type of coin.Same steps for each test.

6 PROCEDURES 1.Gather all the materials. 2.Get 3 cups.r five minut
3.Pour 20 ml of cleaner in each cup. 4.Drop a penny in each cup. 5.Leave it set for five minutes. 6.Take out pennies and rate them from a scale 1-10 which is cleanest 7.Repeat 3 times

8 Things I seen during the experiment
I saw that the dirt from the penny change the color of the cleaner. Also I observed that the vinegar and salt started fizzing when I dropped the penny in the cup,but when I did the others they did not have the same reaction as the vinegar and salt did.

9 Conclusion *The question was what cleans a penny best 409 cleaner,Bleach,or Vinegar and Salt? *I took 3 pennies and dropped one in 409,one in Bleach, and one in Vinegar and Salt. *I rated which penny was cleanest by rating each penny out of ten which look cleanest. *My hypothesis was supported because vinegar and salt the penny best compared to 409 and bleach. *I learned that a mixture is stronger than a single thing because a mixture combines both of their powers to form a reaction. *A problem I had was seeing which penny was the cleanest.Next time I will know how to see which is cleanest much faster.
