As historians, we are going to discover what really happened in the past.
To do so, there are a few Jedi secrets…
Sources give us a valuable way to study the past.
There are two types of sources we can use…
A primary source is a source that was made in the past and gives us a great insight into what was going on.
For example, a diary from WWI, a toy from the Victorian times .
A secondary source is something made after the event,
a replica or a film.
For example, the film The Titanic, a replica sword.

You need to find a primary source to help your future self to figure out what life was like in 2013
I am a historian from 2033 and I am trying to find out what life was like in 2014
I have picked this mug as the primary source that shows me what life was like 20 years ago
The mug shows me this because it shows what food and drink they consumed then and how people drank hot drinks every day as a routine. This might show that people had too much time on their hands!
