Force A force is a push or a pull It is measured in Newtons N
We measure this with a dynamometer (scale) Gravity is a force it pulls down on the mass of an object. Mass is measured in grams or kilograms Kg The force on a 1 kg mass is 10 N 1kg =10N

Work No work is done Work is when you exert a force on an object
And it moves a certain distance. If the object doesn’t move, it doesn’t matter how hard you pushed, No work is done

Simple machines Work = force x distance an object is moved.
Simple machines help us do work because they trade off more distance for less force. It’s easier for us but we have to move the tool a greater distance. This is called Mechanical advantage
