Define: Freedom Oppression Use a dictionary if needed!

3 Oppression A feeling of being heavily weighed down or burdened, either mentally or physically; usually intentionally placed; not a logical consequence

6 Social--Pertaining to society
Economics (Employment, income, class barriers) Intellectual (Education) Age Gender Race Religious

7 Personal Individual choice and free will
Familial (think China and laws for one child, preferably male) Psychological (think 1984) Individual, rather than large social groups

9 One person can make a difference.

10 Without oppression, we can’t have freedom.

11 Oppression only occurs in third-world countries.

Historically, what types of freedom have people sought? What types of oppression have people suffered? List people who have voiced their opposition to oppression and/or their desire for freedom.
