develop capacity: ICT4D service desk –approach Support project requests through 4 standard steps 1 Initiation Project team member submits a project definition (ideally, when writing a proposal) 2 Clarification 1 hour discussion to clarify purpose and scope (project team, GKIM and sector technical advisor) 3 Business Process Up to 3 hours to understand business process to be automated (project team, GKIM and sector technical advisor) 4 Recommendation Up to 3 days of effort to research and craft recommendations (GKIM, with review by sector technical advisor and project team) over 100 project requests during the past year

whats next Goal: Demonstrate high program quality and impact using ICT4D solutions Use of ICT4D solutions is globalized through toolkits tailored to sectors with the requisite support capacity and effective transition to partners Adopt universal electronic data collection tools and a culture of data sharing; apply innovative data analytics that have a decisive impact on outcomes Empower vulnerable communities and strengthen systems through information services, improved through direct feedback and developed in a locally sustainable model

whats next: data Objective: Adopt universal electronic data collection tools and a culture of data sharing; apply innovative data analytics that have a decisive impact on outcomes Universal Collection Consistent tools to collect data Data collection is timely, accurate, cost effective Adopt, adhere to and influence data standards Democratize Access Enable data visualization and self- service data access tools By default, data is shared Beneficiaries can access data about their community Innovative Analytics Enable data-informed decision making Develop capacity to apply geographic and statistical analytics
