2 This presentation will demonstrate the following:
Overview This presentation will demonstrate the following: How to refresh oData in Excel-2013 manually. How to set your oData to refresh every time you open the file. How to set your oData to refresh at timed increments. Note: We recommend using Excel-2013 as it is more stable, and more User-Friendly when pulling oData. Excel-2010 will work, but has potential stability issues and thus won’t be covered in this guide.

4 Once in the oData Excel file, find “Data” along the ribbon.

5 Select the “Data” tab, and locate the “Connections” section.

Next, select “Refresh All” or an option from the dropdown menu. Then the oData file will refresh with the latest data from the connection. Note: The time it will take to refresh will depend on how much data you are refreshing. Example, if there is a lot of data, it will take longer to load. ©2014 Convercent. All rights reserved.

Highlight the oData feed you want to refresh upon opening. Then select “Properties”. ©2014 Convercent. All rights reserved.

Next, select “Refresh data when opening the file”, then “OK”. Now your oData will automatically refresh every time you open this document. Repeat the steps from “Setting oData To Refresh When Opened”, until you reach the properties screen again. The window should look like this. ©2014 Convercent. All rights reserved.

Next, select the “Refresh Every ___ minutes” option, and fill in how often you would like your data to refresh. Then, select “OK”. Your data will now refresh every “x” minutes, depending on what you chose. Note: The time it will take to refresh will depend on how much data you are refreshing.
